Dear Bob Liebert,

I am 41 and am beginning to expierence perimenopausal symptoms. My Dr. put me on birth control pills for 6 mos., which I just finished. My symptoms include heavy periods with cramping, nuasea, back, hip, and leg aches. I also am not sleeping well. I go to sleep fine then wake and can't go back to sleep. I also have decreased libido and generalized fatigue. I know herbs and vitamins can be helpful but don't know where to start. Please help. Thanks......

Jenny

Dear Friend,

I highly recommend our liquid herb extracts. The MNPS Formula would be helpful with re-balancing hormones after birth control. It would be used from a few days after the last cycle up to the next. The CRAMP BARK extract is well-suited to symptoms of cramps, heavy flow with lumbar pain extending to hips and legs. It would be used every two hours as needed for pain. By balancing hormones, many of the other symptoms you mention can be alleviated as well. It also is helpful to use a liver-clearing herb like DANDELION ROOT extract several mornings out of the week. Nervine herbs, as in the NERVAID Formula, can be added if necessary for sleep and irritability, but these would be a good start.

Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
