Dear Bob Liebert,
My 3 year old son was diagnosed with Sickle Cell (actually Sickle
Beta Thalesemia Plus) and due to higher risk for infection he has
been on antibiotics as a prophylaxis for 2 years now. He has never
had a crisis situation and I am not comfortable with continuing this
preventative treatment. Are there any herbs that are safe for children
that can be beneficial in aiding sickle/blood disorders?
Dear Friend,
I have seen many good cases of kids being able to get off anti-biotics.
I would recommend ASTRAGALUS
extract long-term, and courses of ECHINACEA,
which is also used at first sign of acute infection. I would highly
recommend the BLOOD BUILD
Formula to enhance red-cell production.
Yours in healing,
Bob Liebert, herbalist
