Part Used: Root.
An astringent with tonic properties. A mild but effective remedy for acute or chronic diarrhea, that tends to leave a tonic impression. Very good for children and the elderly. Passive hemmorhage and bleeding in general. Strengthens teeth and gums (mouth rinse). Hot flashes.
Dosage: 1/2 to 1 dropperful (20 to 40 drops) - in a swallow of water 2 to 4 x a day.
